yes no number 13`s but i think that means they made a number 556 and alos poss they never made 113 or 213 or 313 you get the idea if so then there will be a 557 558 and so on. greig

Yeah, doubt it somehow, that would mean you would see a badge with 557/555 on it. But i understand what you mean.

Hmm maybe you should have another look mate as number 298 is tucked up at my house awaiting gearbox rebuild.

is it poss your looking at number 298, 555 sti v limited?

I saw that for sale on autotrader not so long ago its not the ra version its the red top sti v2 555 with the side skirts and the like Greig

Oh yeah, gearbox rebuild, unfortunatley for me, just after i bought mine with a known sincro problem, i put it in to get fix the found someone else has been into it as well and didnt torque the main shaft up properly to set all the clearances. second and third? had welded togeather.

They managed to seperate them and machined up the face of the good one, new gear set from japan, put back togeather, refit, 2nd hand RR CV joing that was about to blow apart, (lucky that didnt happen at 180km 1000km from home) and new front discs and pads all round.

Phew $3300 later all good!!! so much fun to drive. Now thinking about a front mount kit. :)

I have recently purchased number 221! (I also have a white V2 STI RA with a cage as my track toy)

I decided to remove the gearbox yesterday as I couldn't get on with the triple plate sintered racing clutch and flywheel!

Needless to say I'm hoping for a lighter pedal and more progressive bite with the new standard items.

Any one interested in a racing clutch and flywheel????
