STI v6 engine

Anyone got any comments on the STI v6 engine?

I'm getting an STI v6 short engine plus ported heads stuck into my 95RA so want to know if anyone has had any problems with the STI v6 engine?

I think I should be okay cos the engine is new and will come with one years Subaru warranty.

Hmmm phase 2 engine into a phase 1 car.... you "may" have some problems, ecu is different, intercooler and turbo are different, engine is pretty much different, wiring loom???

specialist says no problem as regards fitment. ECU is being upgraded to Apexi anyway. If the gearing strips out then I have been advised to get an STi v9 gearbox fitted! (apparently fits with a bit of work and its the strongest box they have put into STI to date cos it supports the 2.5 litre model too with higher torque)

So I might end up with a MY95 WRX RA with STI 6 engine and STI 9 gearbox!!!

As said on SIDC, you'll be fine as long as you use the early heads.
