that without them could be transfered to the transmision?

Are there any accurate measurements, or just guestimates?

have been told between 6-12% for everyone gives a different figure.

fanx :)

I thought that the aircon didnt work at WOT throttle anyway, so in theory if your talking about the track or the strip then theoretically no loss whatsoever.
not always like that though and on track certainly you arent always at WOT.
main reason to remove it is to save weight and give extra room for more essential bits of kit.

power steering...
keep it unless you will never turn a corner again at anything over 30mph, a fast couple of corners and the odd gearchange would be really difficult without PS.

Cat....
Dont know tbh, in the past I have never done a rolling road for a simple exhaust swap, I would suggest that going to full decat might give 15bhp, I would think a lot of that would be down to a decent open necked exhaust and better flow through it than the actual cat.

Leave the Power Steering, Big Al. Unless you dont intend to park your car again :)

I was once told by a very knowledgable member of SIDC, "ChrisP" now sadly departed, that you can expect about 5% loss with the air con on.

Unless you get your ecu retuned at the same time there is very little advantage power wise in getting rid of the cat.

I put a decent turbo back exhaust system on mine with a hi flow cat and picked up in the vacinity of 18kw at the flywheel.

I dont know what the police are like over in your neck of the woods but here in australia if you get caught without a cat then there are huge fines etc.

Then again if you intend to run anti lag it will not be long before you blow the insides of your cat out the end of the pipe and down the road.

The air con weighs around 20kg. I have taken it out of my sti ra ltd but mine only gets used extremely sparingly on the road and mostly on the track.

Hope this helps
