ok,firstly hello everyone.
found the site very useful as i've just sold my my00 uk turbo & i'm now looking for a type ra ver 2 or 3.however i do quite a lot of miles in a year so is a type ra a good choice.

after reading a couple of other threads on the site i couldn't help noticing ppl not wanting to drive long distances,i.e sitting at 5000rpm @ 70mph.is this true,if so whats the top end on these.

help please

matt

Hi
if you do lots of miles DO NOT get ra the low ratio gearbox is not for the motorways and yes it does sit at about 4500 rpm at 70 but what a kick in the ass when you boot it. Its Much faster from 70 to 110 than my AUDI RS4 (380 BHP 2.7 V6 BI-TURBO) but the rs leaves it for dead anywhere else!!

The low ratio makes it a bit of a pain on long journeys, & expensive too.

You can have a taller 5th gear fitted if you must have an RA.
