Just to let you know, I managed personal best time of 62.46 seconds at Loton Park yesterday and took first place in the Roadgoing Over 2000cc Class 8)
Chuffed to bits - car was 100% competitive and reliable + showed the Ferrari boys a thing or two
I'll post some vids and pics in the Members Gallery.

Dean
The MSA use a formula of 1.4 for a forced induction car, so if you have a turbo or supercharger you go into the bigger engined class.
So a 2000 cc STi "becomes" a 3400 cc STi :D
Puts me in with the 911s, TVRs Evos etc etc - great fund.
PS How is your little 'un?

Matt,
Loton Park is 10 minutes west of Shrewsbury.
Other hills "local" to me are Prescott (Cheltenham, Gloucestershire) and Shelsley Walsh (Worcestershire).
I don't think there are many hillclimbs in the Essex region - but there maybe sprint circuits.
These links will give you and idea what is involved and some great pictures:

I think Matts' idea is a very good one.
Come on Dean, lets get a hillclimb meet together and go to watch Richard, we will either encourage him or put him off completely.

OK Guys, the next National B event is Sunday 29th of July, after that I am competing on the 28th and 29th September (last events at Loton Park for 2007).
If my entry is accepted for the September weekend I'll let you know.
Be good to see some of you again.

I have not (yet) received the Final Regulations for the 2 day National B on the 29th and 30th of September, but as soon as they arrive, I shall post up the types of cars that will be at Loton for the weekend.
My entry was accepted, so I shall competing both days (last hill climb of the 2007 season).
I usually get a few passes that saves on the £8/£10 entry - so if anyone wants one let me know.
