hey everyone,i want to have the air con taken out of my 00 sti ver 6 ,i was wondering if its not that hard to do it myself im not bad at engine stuff to be honest ,but if its a nightmare ill pay to have it done,diagrams,pics,any help is great,cheers,d

just crack the joins to air con pipes to remove gas.(wear a mask,Not a scooby doo one)unless your a eco warrior.Then remove condensor etc.If not spend a fortune for 10 minutes work

is this to save weight mate ??
iff so you will be suprised how litte the aircon system is ...you would save more weight driving around in ya boxers&slippers:lol:;)... only weights about 4/5kg...

iff it was me i would try and do it myself..surely it cant be that hard...
or use the serch function on scoobynet im sure this as been coverd a few times


iff you do it yaself mate can you take some pics and what tools you used..
this could help out other members that fancy trying it .......(post it in the project, mods, how to section)

Don't just crack it. Have it disposed of properlly as it has a green die in it and it goes everywhere. An A/C garage should empty it for 0-10£

You will notice a hell of a difference from just removing the belt off the A/C saves you takin it all off.

do yo just take off the belt and not put 1??? on the evo you need to put an rs belt on ,which belt is it ?cheers d
