Noticed nobody seems to post in here and since I am trying to get the best out of my paintwork, figured there must be others in the same boat.
Anyway, finally tried Blackfires Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection after seeing some awesome pics by a guy from another site who swears by the stuff, and also the results of a P1 Polished Bliss did. I'm no expert and I'm still at the learning/experimenting stage so apologies in advance.
The results were as follows;
I spent all day Saturday (and I mean all day!) washing, polishing etc.
Here are the pics. I took pics after every stage.
These Pics were taken after washing and leathering off. Nice and sunny shine isn't too bad, but it would have needed a new coat of wax had i not been using using the blackfire today.

Following pics were after polishing with what was left of the Autoglym Super Resin so I could chuck it out. Actually doesn't look too bad. Was applied with a terry towel and buffed out with the stockingy stuff.

Next pics are after polishing with the Blackfire Polish. Applied with a microfibre pad and buffed out (initially) with a microfibre cloth. Not impressed with this polish really. Was a real pain to buff out (bit like Carnuba wax that has dried) so had to switch to a stockingette to get it offhttp://www.subaru-impreza.org/bbs/images/smilies/mad.gif. Prob won't be using it again.

Finally got on to the Blackfire Wet Diamond. Unfortunately was nearly dusk (you'll notice the near side wing still needs buffing out. Actually that whole side, but it was getting dark quick. Also didn't have time today to do the wheels and tyres.) so the sun was all but gone but you can still get the idea.

The verdict on the blackfire; Awesome in a word. It was a doddle to apply and i could get on with other stuff (walking the doghttp://www.subaru-impreza.org/bbs/images/smilies/smile.gif) whilst it was drying. When it came to buffing out it was a breeze compared to a decent Carnuba wax. I'm also pretty impressed with the shine after only 1 coat. Will probably need at least one more coat to give it a little more depth, which I'll do tomorow if it doesn't rain. To be honest i think it very unlikely I'll be bothering with a wax over the summer and may not even bother after that.
Strongly recommend the Blackfire to anyone. Very,Very happy with the results.
