Hi all myself and dean are just sortig dates and plans out for another rally day and maybe the rolling road morning. if any1 is interested please reply to the post with your name and how many will be in your group so that we can see weather we make it a weekend or a full day with other stuff such as a big car meet, stalls, food, parts for sale and so on.

If it half as good as before it will be an excellent day out for everyone

Hi Hugh,

We are looking at the possiblity of a track day for the Saturday & the forest on the Sunday. Probably end of August/beginning of September.

Looks like Japanese Performance Magazine will be doing a feature too.

I'll start a list.

See you there.

Hi guys,

We are trying to sort dates at present & struggling!!

Gaylord has rallies on most weekends in late August & early September, then I am busy for a couple of weekends.

I'll chase the venue tomorrow to see what they have free - possibly 23/24 August??

Otherwise we'll be into the backend of September/early October.

Any thoughts?

Here are the venue details guys:

http://www.parkwood4x4.co.uk (http://www.parkwood4x4.co.uk/)

Here are some vids from last year:

http://www.type-ra.co.uk/vB/showthread.php?t=4237

I'll need definate numbers & commitment this time - a deposit to cover the venue & book some race fuel.

Last year cost a lot of money & I can't afford to repeat that.

It's a fantastic day & one you will not get anywhere else, so get your fingers out & show your interest!!

Hi Dean, I'm interested too, but need date, cost etc before I can book time of work and passout from missus!!

What's the format of the forest day? Is it own car or is it in a rally prep'd car?

any more detailed info appreciated
PS the later the date the better as just rebuilding engine and box

Hi Hugh,

I'm working on dates now.

Gaylord is on rallies for a few weekends & the venue is booked for others.

It's looking like later in the year now.

You may need to wrap up!!

BTW. The venue is about 5 miles from Elland Road!!

Hi Gus,

October is the month - we've just gotta sort the date.

The car is out on Trackrod at end of September so if it gets back in 1 piece we are off!

I'll keep you all posted.

Hi Hugh,

Sorry for being a bit poo at updates!!

I'm waiting for a reply from Rebecca at the venue.

It seems they are being stuffed for noise abuse at present & so are moving the track further into the woods.

We are waiting for news on the new sections being completed, then we can get forward with the day.

Looks like Saturday is best so far - just need a date from parkwood & we are off.

The car is still in one piece - just!!

Once i get some info from the venue, I'll let you know.

Do you think this might happen sometime in the new year Dean?

Incidentally, does anyone know about the extremerally.co.uk outfit? A couple of us from bigpower forum are thinking of doing one of their half-days in the forest driving an Evo.

cheers

Hi Andy,

It will happen providing they can get the new stages further down in the forest - they are having big problems with noise. I'm trying for a Saturday this time, the idea being more people are out shopping so less likely to complain...we'll see!

Can't help with extremerally I'm afraid.
