I heard a rumour that the first 150 of these fine cars had 300bhp, would you care to confirm or deny this myth??

mate I have no idea if they did that.. but as I understand the my99 ra is 280
Hp. Feels pretty quick :)

Not sure if its true either. I just had mine RR'd yesterday and it kicked out 280bhp and 230lb/ft. Chuffed to bits with that for a standard car! 8)

hi all im Desh from New Zealand i have a 2000 wrx Type RA LTD 484/1000. i got it a few days ago, its completely standard apart from boost guage. only does 7psi on 1st n 2nd and 8psi 3rd onwards. does anyone know if this is normal? it doesnt seem like its running at its full potential. sorry if this is the wrong thread i just stumbled upon this site and decided to join coz i cant seem to find any information online about how much its supposed to boost. it is also runnin the standard vf29 turbo but the air flow meter is from a forestor st/b, could that be the prob?
