Hello everyone,
Im new to the Subaru life and was looking for info about the chassis model codes for JDM 2003 spec c's and ra's etc. There seems to be a lot of variations out there and chassis model codes would be a great help.
Cheers Charlie.

Charlie the main differance between a spec-c and a spec-c type ra is the suspension it would help if you could tell us which car you were looking for ie bugeye/blobeye it narrows it down a bit plus I think dean has tried to help by asking you for the applied model code which is a winner also the colour which sounds a bit daft but there is a reason behind that.

Right the model code you have put up last letters EH is for an sti FH denotes a spec-c but the blobeye version of the spec c also was called sti type ra spec-c which they dropped on the next model and called it a spec-c type ra one way of telling is it should have a roof vent /oil cooler/wind up windows and the most important thing is it should be running a VF 34 turbo its very confusing because subaru in there wisdom changed things yearly either by lettering or option changes

Hello,
It is very confusing isnt it. It has a roof vent, no central locking, elec windows dont know about oil cooler is it easily visible through the front grille, has brembo brakes ic water tank in boot no boot release next to drivers seat, why the hell is it so confusing it's nearly as bad as the porsche 911 range :D.

Looking at the front of the car drivers side under the front bumper apature next to the number plate you will be able to see it from there if it does it will be a spec-c this is also confirmed by the electric windows the ra of that year had wind up windows if you find out anymore I will be talking to somebody in the know at the weekend.

Hello Gus,
Do you think i should have something to worry about with the code given or is it usual to find coding differences.
Cheers Charlie.
