Rear Fog Lamp Wiring For Import 97 RA

I have a 97 RA Import which does not have a rear fog light
i have purchased an impreza fog light switch
which plugs into a connector i found behind a switch blanking plate on the dashboard near the right hand side of the steering column.
When the switch is pushed in, it illuminates like it should
and when it is pushed again the light goes out like it should
if i have this wiring should i have a wire near or in the boot that goes live when the switch is pushed in
would anyone know the colour of this wire
or does anyone know where i should be able to pick up the live to run to the back of the vehicle

Forget it mate:(
I (as have a few others on here) have never found where the wire is or where it ends, it certainly isn't in the boot anywhere.
Just run a new wire from the switch to the boot.

Would you know the colour of the wire
or shall i just use a multimeter to see which wire goes live when the switch is activated

Use a meter and run the new wire from the back of the switch.
