Hi, im looking for my first impreza (currently an integra type R dc2 owner)
now ive seen a version 3 wrx sti V-limited and it has the v-limited badge on the back with the number (517/555) and comes with the roof vent, sti bits like badges steering wheel etc. but how do you know if its a genuine V-limited?
i have several pictures of the car if these will help anyone identify it?
ill be honest i dont know a huge amount about imprezas, i can tell the different versions and wether its an sti or not but not to sure on this.
all help is much appreciated.
thanks

I just checked the model codes and there is no version 3 WRX STi RA v-ltd,only a version 3 WRX STi v-ltd. There is a 1997 version 4 WRX STi RA v-ltd which i think the car is. Have you got the chassis number from the VIN plate as this willbe able to let you know if its a genuine WRX STI RA v-ltd as it should have the code GC8E4DD. This web page contains all the codes you need to identify the car.([url]www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/wrx.html ...cheers Paul..::)

Ah right thanks guys, ill check the chassis number.
i didnt think it was an RA as it has electric windows, aircon etc etc
also do you think its worth paying the extra just because its a V - limited?
I geuss chances are it will hold it value better, but i can't decide wether id be better spending less on a normal wrx sti and putting the rest towards some goodies. as with this car it would be pretty much a straight swap for my dc2. which im certain could sell with the way things are at the minute for aroun 4700 quickly.
like i said im new to subaru's really so your help is much appreciated.
thanks
Lewis
Scoobs are cheap at the moment mate.
There are some good deals to be had, but I'd be tempted to go for a limited or rare one if I were you. They should hold their value better.
Time will come when they are rare & values will go up.
The government are killing gas guzzlers & the like with taxes etc.
