View Full Version : Lexan/plastic windscreens...etc
I was wondering how much it costs and where I could buy replacements for my glass on a 96, since I was just starting to price up how much it would cost to get the windows and front windscreen replaced with OEM bits due to the current ones being worn and the front screen has a small crack.
Has anyone had or know of any problems?
I dont think lexan is road legal, but I could be wrong mate.

Lexan is deffo not road legal for the windscreen and if you were to use it anywhere else it would scratch (and be worse than what you have now) in no time at all.
Replacement front screens are readily available from Autoglass and you can even get top tint ones as well, if you were to sort of accidentally lean on the chip;) you could turn it into a crack and get the new screen on your insurance.
If the side windows are that bad you would be better off getting good replacements (off of low mileage later models) from breakers, they are very easy to change.
Crap, I really like the riveted look and the weight, like the rear screen on this 350Z:

Is there anyway you know of for me to get a similar result?
