I have got about a £1000 to purchase some, forged pistons, rods and bottom end bearings.
I need some help as to what manufacturer to use, please advise me
And where I can get them at a good price.

hi,
ACL bearings, if you want to upgrade a crank as well, jdm v9 sti is the one I'd go for. As for pistons and rods I'm not sure what to recommend, wiseco pistons are popular over here, but don't know much about those

Thanks for that I will have a look around, will the jdm v9 crank fit my96 CDB. I was looking to keep the standerd crank as its in good form and requires no work.

cosworth pistons are the strongest ive ever used and my rally engine must have done 2500 stage miles and 300 rd on 102 octane fuel, running anti lag and head gasket causeing a water problem for 10 rallys and i still couldnt blow the engine to bits..manley rods are gud,, thick metal gaskets.. gud oil and a simtek is a mega rd package but its the tricks of the trade that build the best engines not mega money....crank...ive not had a problem with cranks ..but if people remembered that they need oil to stop un knocking then hey it helps....stanard crank is fine and ours was ok at 400bhp......if ur need help i build em not just look at um Alex 07515 531 845
